NWS LaCrosse (Southwestern Wisconsin, Southeastern Minnesota, and Northeast Iowa)

.Heavy rainfall is leaading to rising river levels along portions of the Root River. River forecasts take into account both observed and forecast precipitation. The National Weather Service in La Crosse WI has issued a

* Flood Warning for The South Branch Root River at Preston.

* until late Sunday night.

* Flood stage is 937.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river is forecast to rise to near 937.7 feet by 1 AM Sunday morning. &&

If you live in a threatened area, be alert for high or rising water, and be ready to move to higher ground if necessary. Do not drive cars into flooded areas. NWS LaCrosse (Southwestern Wisconsin, Southeastern Minnesota, and Northeast Iowa)

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Southeastern Mower County in southeastern Minnesota... Southwestern Fillmore County in southeastern Minnesota...

* Until 745 AM CDT Sunday.

* At 748 PM CDT, road closures were reported over portions of eastern Mower County, mainly in the Grand Meadow area. Expect rising river levels along portions of the Root River tonight. Always follow instructions from local authorities and never attempt to cross flood waters by vehicle or on foot and don`t drive around barricades.

* Some locations impacted include... Preston, Spring Valley, Grand Meadow, Wykoff, Cherry Grove, Bristol, York, Dexter, Carimona, Ostrander, Elkton, Forestville State Park, Etna, Greenleafton, County Roads 4 And 8, Highways 63 And 16, Hamilton, County Roads 4 And 3 and Granger.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

.Heavy rain has resulted in flooding along portions of the Whitewater River. River forecasts take into account both observed and forecast precipitation. The National Weather Service in La Crosse WI has issued a

* Flood Warning for The Middle Fork Whitewater River Near Whitewater Park.

* until Sunday afternoon.

* At 7:30 PM Saturday the stage was 13.6 feet.

* Flood stage is 13.5 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 14.0 feet by this evening. The river will fall below flood stage tonight. &&
