...HEAVY SNOW TO CONTINUE ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA AND WESTERN WISCONSIN INTO THIS EVENING... .A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for all of central and southern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin into this evening. Total snowfall accumulations of 6 to 10 inches can be expected with very intense 1 to 2 inch per hour accumulations occurring at times during the storm leading to very low visibility. Snowfall will diminish from the southwest later this afternoon and evening but will still have major impacts on the evening rush hour, and evening school events. Dangerous travel conditions can be expected due to snow and ice covered roads and restricted visibilities. ...Snow Lifting Northeast, Hazardous Travel Continues... .Snow continues early this afternoon over much of the area, with patchy freezing drizzle, especially across parts of northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin. The heaviest snow this afternoon will be found north of Interstate 90, where an additional 1 to 4 inches is expected, highest over north central Wisconsin. Some drifting snow is also possible. Accidents continue to be reported with many roads remaining snow covered and slippery. Difficult to hazardous travel will continue over the area this afternoon, especially untreated roads!
