Expect brief moderate to heavy snowfall and winds gusting in excess of 35 to 45 mph, which may create near-blizzard conditions at times in some areas. ...SNOW WILL DIMINISH THROUGH THE REST OF THIS MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS... .A Winter Storm Warning continues for Mille Lacs and Kanabec counties through this morning. A Winter Weather Advisory continues for much of eastern Minnesota through this morning and for western Wisconsin through this afternoon. Snow is steadily diminishing as the heaviest bands are now pushing into central Wisconsin. Light to moderate snow will produce an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow before ending this afternoon. Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph are also expected to cause areas of blowing snow, mainly from west into south central Minnesota. Falling temperatures will lead to slick spots on roads after the snow has ended. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY...

Light accumulations will develop quickly. A few inches of snow are possible with highest amounts along and north of I-94. Impacts to travel have already been seen.
