...Snow, Hazardous Travel Developing into the Afternoon... .Snow will develop across Iowa and far southwest Wisconsin through late morning, further developing northward into southeast Minnesota and western into central Wisconsin through mid to late afternoon. Snow may mix with rain at times as temperatures in some locations warm above freezing, with a period of heavier snow expected into late afternoon and early evening, impacting the evening commute. Total snowfall of 2 to 5 inches is currently expected, highest within a band stretching from north-central Iowa into central Wisconsin where locally higher amounts are possible. The bulk of snowfall will occur this afternoon. To recap, wintry precipitation will be a little slower to develop this morning, becoming most intense into late afternoon and early evening. Roads will become snow covered and hazardous, impacting the evening commute. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CST THIS EVENING...

...Light Snow and Icing Possible over Northern Iowa Monday... .Light snow and a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet is forecast to develop over northwest to north central Iowa late tonight into early Monday, continuing into the late afternoon hours east of Interstate 35. Snow amounts from 1 to 3 inches are expected with a light glaze of ice also possible. Winds remain generally light until the late afternoon hours when some minor blowing snow may occur. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY...

...TRAVEL IMPACTS FROM SNOW AND ICE LIKELY TODAY... .A Winter Weather Advisory continues for southern Minnesota, and Pepin and Eau Claire counties in Wisconsin. The advisory is based on snowfall amounts of one to three inches, and some light ice accumulations. The main threat for ice is this morning, and the main threat for snow is Monday afternoon. Light precipitation will begin to develop early Monday morning along the Iowa border and spread northeast across Minnesota, and into west central Wisconsin by the afternoon. Some freezing rain is possible during the morning. The freezing precipitation will mix with snow by late morning, and then should transition to mainly snow in the afternoon. The snow will end early this evening. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...
