you zach. as many already know... wrestling is quite the popular sport in the state of iowa but the waldorf university women's wrestling program wants to raise interest in the sport for girls. today, they held their secondáannual wrestling clinic which was free for girls ages three to 18. those in attendance learned about wrestling, played games, and were treated to a variety of snacks. one of the coaches told me this a great way to introduce the girls to the sport that is quickly gaining interest from many. we've got a bunch of girls who are interested in wrestling but have never wrestled so we just want to give them the opportunity to connect with the college wrestlers and let them see like hey yeah girls can wrestle too and we do it's a very common thing it's just not very visible yet to the younger age girls so we're just trying to open upo that visibility.
