it's the final week of the regular season for high school football teams across the state of iowa. while many teams fight to see who's in and who's out of the playoffs.... others simply look to clinch their division taking us to rockford if the warriors win there's a three way tie in eight man. third quarteráá logan benjegerdes lobs one up and finds marquise berry for the first down. setting them up for this benjegerdes to berry again. warriors up, jacob staudt keeps this one he makes his way to the outside and tacks on another six. vikings fighting to stay alive pitch to berry he finds his way to the endzone again. but staudt againáá to the outside finds a great block and takes this one home. the warriors pull out the win 36 to 26 the most points against the nák defense all year. moving over to belmond... even santa claus was in town as the broncos look to make the playoffs. we join in at the second quarter where josef smith runs to the rightside but he is stopped by a herd of broncos then the defense would let up... no one knows where tate hagen is and he makes the run for the eagle touchdown and the eagles would go for it... hagen to the leftside this time for the conversion to put west hancock on top. skip ahead... the broncos with the pitch to the left but its fumbled.... and west hancock would recover next drive... the eagles look to score and kane zuehl's pass gets picked off by easton barrus but west hancock goes on to win... 22 to 13... with a strong shot to make the playoffs. there's a lot on the line in this one, winner has a chance to move on, the loser is likely out. central springs is driving after zach ryg gashes the saints for a first down up the middle but saint ansgar's defense steps up on the next play as carter salz forces a fumble and sam juenger recovers. saints are able to capitalize off of that turnover as collin kramer keeps it himself to dive in for the touchdown. next drive, dylan kisner has a nice throw to josh stapleton on the out route, that's good for the first down. but it's the saints defense that steps up once again as ryan cole has the great blanket coverage and the pass defense. the saints will eventually go on to make it 18 to nothing as adam williams catches the lob from collin kramer. there were lots of great plays on the final week of the season and to count down the best plays of the night, here's brandon libby with libby's lightning plays. it was a windy night on the gridiron but there was no shortage of awesome plays. let's count down the best plays of the night we are starting with two defensive plays á first up is the saint's defense as carter salz lowers the helmet, the ball is up for grabs and sam juenger recovers the forced fumble. how about this one á west hancock's kane zuel throws into double coverage and belmondá klemme's easton barris says, yup that's mine, that's a pick. how about northwoodá kensett making the most out of what seems like a botched play with two receivers in the area, if you watch closely number marquis berry snatches it for the touchdown after landing hard on the ground. last but not least warrior's jacob staudt with the keeper, he shreds through the
