on a roller coaster building competition at a mason city middle school... is giving students a chance to learn from professional designers... . take a look.. these 7th grade students at john adams middle school are building these coasters out of paper... for their science class. they're working alongside members of area engineering and architectural firms á to get advice and feedback on their plans. students jaelyn falls and adi (addie) krueger (crewá grr) say having experienced people in the field helping is "it helps us with a lot of things. if we didn't have them, then ours would be all the way touching the ground by now and it wouldn't be that great." the schoolá wide competition is set for this friday... and the winner then will go to a state competition in cedar falls on november 14thá to compete against other iowa middle school students.///
