one minute fundraiser-vo-3 it's a story we continue to follow. a rochester family is trying to pick up the pieces after a fire destroyed their home. one minute fundraiser-vo-4 lowerthirdcourtesy:sept. 9, 2018 students raise money for classmate rochester, mn we were on scene when the fire broke out - causing about 200-thousand dollars in damage. that family is in michigan - staying with relatives while they regroup. and now - students at john marshall high school in rochester are holding a fundraiser to help out. one minute fundraiser-vo-5 the daughter attends classes at the high school and students there are raising money...calling it the one minute fundraiser. it's where volunteers run into each classroom - asking students and faculty to throw money into a bucket. two students who organized the fundraiser tell us that they chose to do it because it is a fun way to help out a family in need.xxx one minute fundraiser-sot-1 lowerthird2line:suad mumin & mel sadecki fundraiser organizers it's such a short amount of time that it kind of builds up a little bit of anxiety but also a little bit of a rush that everyone is running in and out of classrooms to collect the money. it's just a really fun thing to do. they don't have a goal set... but say anything they raise will go to the family. if you weren't able to drop off money to the school... you can donate direclty to the family's go fund me page. we will post a link to that page on k-i-m-t- dot-com along with this story. / dozens of
