see at every school. today ? kimt news 3 sports' zach gilleland got to go to lourdes high school in rochester and found something interesting. quite a few of their coaches are actually former lourdes football players./// yeah katie ? their head coach is just one of them ? and already at 2 and 0 this season... they're looking at possibly another state championship. xxx one thing that is synonymous with lourdes football... is winning now in his 14th season as varsity head coach, mike kesler knows there's no place like home. i say it all the time it's a dream come true. it's my dream job when i got hired as head football coach, it's something i'm very passionate about. kesler grew up with lourdes football in his blood, so it was undoubtedly special for him to bring the program its first state championship in 2010 after a 31 year wait. oh man it was really special to me personally but growing up with lourdes football, my dad being a captain, my brothers playing here. i was in the stands in 79 when we won it against apple valley so this programs meant a lot to me. multiple state championships later, coach has continued to build the eagles into a perennial power. but for him, it's about his players leaving as better individuals. it's not about wins and losses, you know our goal here as coaches is to develop better young men. so ultimately if they can take a piece of this football experience it's gonna help them down the road wherever it's tomorrow, next week or two months from now or 10 years from now. that's how we evaluate and that's how we should be evaluating ourselves. despite all these acomplishment s, kesler wants to be remembered in a different way. probably just someone who cared. i hope they can look back and say that he did care. so that's the number one thing we're trying to do the minnesota vikings are
