our local veterans. each year the patriot tour rides through north iowa to raise money for wounded veterans. k-i-m-t news three's brian tabick is finding out just what this ceremony means to those who served. on the scene patriot tour-llpkg-1 patriot tour-llpkg-2 natural sound complete with a police escort from a veteran himself natural sound and a flag passing ceremony. natural sound the patriot ride in mason city is raising money for local wounded veterans. patriot tour-llpkg-3 we had to one from forest city and one from manly that we receive the money last year and the year before we had one from rockford patriot tour-llpkg-4 donald shaer spent two years in germany and while he has never received any of these funds himself, he says those who are wounded may need the extra help. patriot tour-llpkg-7 the ones that have been wounded some of them have hospital bills and sometimes the bills get behind helps them to pay their bills complete with a battle flag from a forgein war, ron ohotto who served for four years says he is honored to be able to carry the flag for day five of the 110 days patriot tour-llpkg-5 my grandpa was military my dad was military and so was i and there's no greater honor in this country patriot tour-llpkg-8 whether it's for medical bills or therapy...the money raised goes towards the "nation for patriots" fund. organizers in north iowa search for local veterans who need it the most and that's where the money goes. it's an honor to help pack of veterans and support them which ever way we can patriot tour-llpkg-6 those with the patriot ride say they are still looking for riders to meet up tomorrow at the mason city harley davidson they will be leaving here at four p-m and headed to albert lea in mason city brian tabick k-i- m-t news three. the patriot ride costs ten dollars per rider. but as they head to albert lea tomorrow - they will take whatever they can get for the cause. we will have continued coverage of this patriotic ride and the impact it has locally tomorrow. / breaking news we have
