the search continues this morning for missing iowa autistic teen jake wilson from la?porte city. here's his picture, he's been missing since april 7th, after he told his parents he was heading to a creek. there are a lot of questions around this situation. and kimt news three's annalisa pardo joins us live with how more questions are being raised at community resources that might have been able to help. this may look like a typical traffic sign, but look closer. this big yellow sign is to help autistic kids stay safe. michelle branch's 11 year old daughter jade has autism... which can come with safety concerns, especially living on a busy street. michelle says her daughter used to wander and often goes running, without looking both ways. while michelle doesn't want the signs to isolate her daughter, for her ? the signs are worth the safety, if her daughter does get lost in the neighborhood. maybe more people would be apt to stop and make sure that individual is safe. but i would really like more people to be aware of those signs, because they're up there for a reason. michelle's only seen about three other autistic child signs in the area. live in rochester, annalisa pardo, kimt news 3. coming up in less than 20 minutes... we take a look at how to get one of these signs, and how much it will cost you.
