DeeDee Stiepan joined the KIMT News 3 team in February 2013. She is a Minnesota native and grew up in Lake Elmo.

DeeDee attended St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and was very involved in the award-winning campus television station, UTVS. She served as the station’s sports director for two years. While she was sports director, she helped make it possible to cover live Husky basketball and football games, something that hadn’t been done before. She also was a sports anchor and sideline reporter for Husky Mag, which is a magazine-style sports show on UTVS.

Although she has a love for TV sports, DeeDee also has a passion for telling other peoples’s stories through reporting the news. DeeDee interned at KIMT, and she says coming back to the team and working as a full time reporter feels like she never left.

Aside from covering the news, DeeDee enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, watching the Minnesota Twins and doing yoga.
