WORTH CO., Iowa- We are learning the latest on where a Worth County water shed project district sits with a proposed wetland project.
The project would sit in the far southeast portion of the county near Jonquil Ave. and 370th St.
Northwood city leaders said the sewer plant project they planned to do with the help of revolving state funds opened doors for funds to help the county watershed.
The hope is to help water quality in the area, and that is something those who live there said is a good idea.
“If they're having problems in other counties around us where we have to use bottled water or things have contaminated the water ... I think if there is funding that can help us make sure that we have clean water to drink that would be great,” said Taylor Cooper of rural Worth County.”
The engineer heading the project said they plan to open the project up for bids at the Aug. 16 meeting.
