NORTHWOOD, Iowa – An investigation is underway after a vacant house in Northwood was found on fire.
The Worth County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy noticed smoke coming from the home at 97 8th St. S. at around 2:07 a.m. Wednesday.
Neighbors told the deputy that the home was vacant and nobody should be inside.
The scene was cleared just before 6 a.m. The cause of the blaze is unknown, according to the Worth County Sheriff’s Office.
