...Moderate to Locally Heavy Snow across Northern and Central Possible Through Tonight... .Moderate to heavy snowfall has occurred over northern Iowa with 3 to 5 inches already being reported. An addition 1 to 4 inches could occur over that region. Farther north, expect accumulating snow to arrive over central Iowa through the evening as snow drops south out of South Dakota. The wind will gust to 30 mph at times and will create some areas of blowing snow over northern Iowa. ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches are expected. Total snowfall 5 to 8 inches. Locally higher amounts may occur. Areas of blowing snow may occur with gusty winds to 30 mph.

* WHERE...North Central Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Monday.

...SNOW CONTINUES THROUGH THE EVENING... .A Winter Weather Advisory continues for portions of west central, southwest, and south central Minnesota through tonight, mainly southwest of a line from Alexandria, to Winsted, Faribault, and Zumbrota. Snow has already spread over west central, southwest, and south central Minnesota. The heaviest, and more steadier snowfall will continue in southwest, and south central Minnesota through the remainder of the afternoon. This area will have the worst conditions in terms of impact as temperatures begin to fall and ice builds on the area roads. Further to the east, snowfall will continue to be less, but once the sun begins to set, some accumulations will occur on roadways. Snowfall amounts in the advisory area will range from 3 to 5 inches. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT MONDAY...
