Winnebago County hosting summer fun

County fair in Thompson and Puckerbrush Days in Forest City happening through the weekend

WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Iowa - If you're looking for something to do this weekend, head to Winnebago County.

Thursday marked the first official day of the County Fair in Thompson, and Puckerbrush Days in Forest City.

Some of the features at this year's fair include a beef/dairy show, wood carving from a chainsaw artist, carnival games, a beer garden, and "Fishing for Life", among others.

At this year's Puckerbrush Days, Thursday kicked off with a farmer's market, as well as a beer garden, and featured a street dance featuring Russ Lachney. Other features this year include food vendors, flag disposal ceremony, "Battle of the Businesses", and street dances featuring Pianopalooza and Farm Rock.
