Wanted subject in 'brutal' NE Iowa attack taken into custody

A man wanted in what authorities called a “brutal” attack has been taken into custody.

WINNESHIEK COUNTY, Iowa – A man wanted in what authorities called a “brutal” attack has been taken into custody.
Dalton Adam, 18, was located by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin.
He was arrested on felony willful injury causing serious injury. Adam will be held on $50,000 bond.
Jacob Seelinger, 17, is facing the same charge and was seen by a magistrate and is being held on $25,000 bond. He is being charged as an adult and will be transported to a juvenile detention center.
The victim in the case suffered life-threatening injuries, according to court documents.
“Unknown at this time if he will live or not,” court documents said.
Adam and Seelinger are accused of an attack at 1775 Old Stage Rd. in Winneshiek County at 11:29 p.m. Wednesday.
According to court documents, a 911 call was received where the caller advised the victim had been assaulted badly. Authorities said the victim’s face was bloody and “extremely swollen.”
