Women's shelter receives mothers day donations

The moving company Two Men and Truck helped coordinate the donation effort.

ROCHESTER, Minn.-The moving company Two Men and a Truck teamed up with local organizations to collect essential items for women living at the Rochester Women’s Shelter.

Some of the most requested items are not for women at all, but actually for their babies and children.

Alexis Burdick is the coordinator who will deliver more than 60 boxes to the women. she tells us this mothers day she wants all the mothers to feel special.

“All of them can feel special even if they aren't in the greatest point in their life," explained event coordinator Alexis Burdick.

There were more than 2,700 items collected. Due to weather, the items will be delivered Monday.
