ROCHESTER, Minn. – A two-vehicle collision caused a momentary traffic backup on northbound Highway 52 Thursday.

The State Patrol says it happened a little before 3:30 pm near the 37th Street exit. A Subaru Outback driven by a 64-year-old Rochester woman was stopped in the right lane for traffic ahead and was hit from behind by a Nissan Altima driven by a 56-year-old woman from Racine.  The drivers' names have not been released.

At least one person was taken to St. Mary's Hospital.

Rochester police and fire, Gold Cross Ambulance, and MnDOT assisted at the scene.

Two lanes of Highway 52 were blocked off while the road was cleared.
