Rochester, Minn. – Two men, 28-year-old Christopher Watson and 24-year-old Shawn Watson, are in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center after a shot was fired and a man was allegedly pistol whipped.
Rochester police were called to a fight Sunday morning at 1:10 after a report of shots fired in the 400 block of 14th St. NW.
According to police, the Watsons drove to the victim’s residence in the 400 block of 14th St. NW. Upon the victim and a friend went outside to confront them. An argument between the four males ensued and police say Christopher Watson pulled a handgun and pointed it at the victim.
At some point a shot was fired (nobody was hurt) and police say Christopher Watson pistol-whipped the victim.
One of the responding officers found the Watsons walking about four blocks away.
Both are looking at charges for second-degree assault, reckless discharge of a firearm and terroristic threats.
Christopher Watson has a prior conviction so he’s looking at a charge of a felon being in possession of a firearm.
Police plan to execute a search warrant of Watson’s vehicle.
