Third arrest in Charles City burglary

Police say victim was attacked by three men.

CHARLES CITY, Iowa – A third Floyd County man has now been arrested for a February attack.

Eric D’Andre Sanders, 26 of Charles City, is charged with 1st degree burglary. Authorities say he entered a home in the 400 block of Richings Street in Charles City on February 17 and joined Isaac Brown III, 29, and Dontrale Gaston, 28, in a physical altercation with another person.

Police say the victim was cut and bloody after being hit with a beer bottle and a space heater.

A warrant was issued for Sanders on February 19. He was finally picked up on Thursday.

Gaston and Brown are scheduled to stand trial for 1st degree burglary and willful injury casing serious injury on May 1.
