AUSTIN, Minn. – Police say four teenage boys were caught tampering with vehicles Friday evening.
Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger says officers got a call around 6:39 pm about kids seen prowling around the Eagles parking lot. Police surrounded the area and caught three 14-year-olds and one 15-year-old. Officers say they had a knife, cash, sunglasses, and aftershave in their possession.
The four boys have been cited for two counts of theft and three counts of vehicle tampering. One 14-year-old was sent to Many Rivers Juvenile Detention in Rochester because he’s on probation for another offense. The other three boys were released to their parents’ custody.
