UPDATE: Teenage girl located in southern Minnesota

Found safe in Mankato.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has cancelled the alert for Madison Hjermstad, saying she was located safe in Mankato.  The public is thanks for their help looking for her.

WASECA, Minn. – Authorities are looking for a missing teenager from southern Minnesota.

The state’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says Madison Hjermstad, 16, did not return home from school on Friday, November 2. She was reportedly last seen leaving a home in Mankato in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 3,

Authorities say they are concerned for her welfare and anyone with information about Madison Hjermstad is asked to contact the

Waseca Police Department at 507-835-0500 and ask to speak to the on-duty officer.
