NORTHWOOD, Iowa – An 18-year-old is pleading guilty to a one-day crime spree in Worth County.
Jordan Lee Meier of Forest City was arrested in June and charged with 2nd degree theft, three counts of criminal mischief, and four counts of 3rd degree burglary of a motor vehicle.
Authorities were called to the apartments in the 100 block of 1st Street North in Fertile on May 7. Witnesses said two kids had broken into several vehicles, then stolen a white SUV. The SUV got into a chase with Forest City police and then crashed. Meier was interviewed at the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office on May 11 and reportedly admitted his involvement.
Meier had been accused of multiple motor vehicle burglaries in Forest City, for which he later pleaded guilty and received probation.
Meier has now entered guilty pleas in Worth County to 2nd degree theft, 2nd degree criminal mischief, and burglary of an unoccupied motor vehicle-1st offense. His sentencing is scheduled for February 12, 2108.
