The Kasson-Mantorville Komets volleyball team is looking for their first state championship in school history. Their leader in front of the net, Peyton Suess, is one of the reasons why.

Suess already owns the school record for kills and blocks in a career. With 1,813 career kills and 409 this season, the Wake Forest commit is one of the top players in Minnesota.

The Komets face one of their biggest opponents of the season in Stewartville, the two seed in the Section 1AA Tournament. The matchup tips off Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Mayo Civic Center.
