Shots fired in Rochester

Police say it happened Friday near an apartment complex.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Authorities are investigating shots fired at an apartment complex.

Rochester police say several witnesses reported hearing shots around 8:15 pm on Friday near Winchester Apartments in the 3800 block of 19th Avenue SW. Officers say it appears six shots were fired and shell casings and items were scattered around the area, indicating some kind of disturbance.

Police say witnesses reported cars quickly driving away from the scene, one driving without lights.
