Sheriff: 138 pounds of marijuana found hidden in containers in southern MN ditch

OLMSTED COUNTY, Minn. – Around 138 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value of $345,000 was found in a ditch Monday morning.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office said a person was on a rural road in High Forest Township and discovered three large totes and two plastic garbage bags hidden in tall grass in the ditch.
Inside was around 112 packages of marijuana weighing 138 pounds.

“While this is a large find, we have had other situations similar to this over the years,” Cpt. Scott Behrns said.

The person who found the marijuana wants to remain anonymous due to safety concerns.
