FOREST CITY, Iowa – The second of four drug bust defendants has pleaded guilty.

Valerie Lynn O’Dell, 42 of Forest City, entered a guilty plea Tuesday to gathering where controlled substances are used, child endangerment, and possession of methamphetamine. Her sentencing is scheduled for August 28.

O’Dell was arrested on December 17, 2017 after police and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office searched a Forest City home. Three others were arrested as well.

Audrey Lynn O’Dell has pleaded not guilty to gathering where drugs are used and child endangerment. Charles Gene Barnish has pleaded not guilty to possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both are set to stand trial on August 15.

Joseph Angel Luna III was also arrested but local charges were dismissed to allow prosecution for federal drug crimes. He has pleaded guilty but a sentencing date has not been set.
