LA PORTE CITY, Iowa - Authorities say the search will continue Wednesday for Jake Wilson.
The 16-year-old with Autism went missing Saturday after going for a walk. The La Porte City Police Department says the search will resume Wednesday at 8 am. Volunteers are asked to meet at the fire station and people are being asked to contribute ATs and UTVs to allow searchers to cover a bigger area.
Anyone bringing ATVs or UTVs should park them in the empty lot next to the car wash on the corner of Main Street and Tama Street.
La Port City police say they appreciate everyone help and their donations of time, money, and food.

LA PORTE CITY, Iowa – The search for a missing 16-year-old boy with autism is entering its third day in northeast Iowa.
According to the La Porte City Police Department, the search for Jake Wilson continued Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
Police asked those with ATV’s to bring them to assist in the search as they will be “searching further distances and in bigger areas.”
“We had another great turnout (Monday) with the amount of volunteers that came to help! We cannot thank everyone enough for all their efforts in searching, for providing food for all the hard workers and everyone in between,” the police department said in a Facebook post.
Wilson was last seen at 9 p.m. Saturday going for a walk.
“He was wearing a brown zip up hoody, dark pants, and cowboy boots. Farmers who live within a 5 mile radius of La Porte City are asked to search their outbuildings, vehicles, and any other place he could be trying to keep warm,” the department said in a Facebook post.
