School bus accident in Olmsted County

State Patrol says six were injured in rollover.

PLEASANT GROVE TOWNSHIP, Minn. – Six people were injured in a school bus accident Saturday morning in Olmsted County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the bus was southbound on Highway 52 when it went out of control in snowy and icy conditions and rolled into the east ditch near the intersection with 75th Avenue SE. The bus was driven by 51-year-old Randy Joseph of Burnsville and the State Patrol lists six injured out of the 32 people inside. The injured are:

16-year-old Abigal Rae Ackerman.

14-year-old Caroline Grace Dickhausen.

14-year-old Hena Eleen Gerten.

34-year-old Jacey Homan Kilby.

15-year-old Mallory Kay Nelson.

21-year-old Martin Joseph Scheider.

The State Patrol says none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening. All six were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment.
