Rochester man sentenced for stealing from bank employee

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Stealing from a bank employee earns a man two years of supervised probation.

19-year-old Justin Tyreke Lee of Rochester was charged with two counts of theft after police say he stole a laptop computer and vehicle keys from an employee of Associated Bank on January 12. Officers say the employee realized he been robbed, found Lee a few hours later and pinned him against a wall until authorities arrived.

Lee was originally charged with felony theft but made a deal to plead guilty to gross misdemeanor theft. Besides his probation, Lee was also sentenced to 20 days in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center.
