ROCHESTER, Minn. – Over a year after his arrest, a Rochester man is pleading not guilty to drug and gun charges.
Amir Sabackic, 49 of Rochester, was arrested on April 6, 2017, and charged with 2nd degree drug sales, 3rd degree drug possession, possession of a firearm as a drug user, and endangering a child with the presence of drugs. He entered a not guilty plea Tuesday and his trial has been scheduled to begin August 27.
Rochester police said when they arrested Sabackic, he had dozens of illegal prescription drugs on him and a search of his home turned up hundreds more. Officers said they also found several improperly stored and loaded firearms in Sabackic’s home, all within reach of three children living there.
