ROCHESTER, Minn. - Should your dog be able to enjoy dinner and a drink with you this summer out on a restaurant patio? Many think so.
Rochester city council discussed the topic and would like to move forward with making it allowed for restaurants to allow dogs on their patios. Also to allow them inside an establishment as long as it does not sell food.
Right now, establishments must pay a one day fee to allow dogs on their patios. However, council member Annalissa Johnson says she feels this is outdated.
Members of the community agree saying dogs are part of the family, and 'man's best friend.'
