ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Stewartville man gets probation for child pornography.

57-year-old Eric Lowell Saterdalen was arrested in May and charged with two counts of disseminating child pornography and 10 counts of possessing child porn. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says it was notified in September 2016 by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that three images of child pornography has been uploaded to an IP address assigned to Saterdalen. During a search of Saterdalen’s home in May 2017, a special agent from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said he located 12 child porn images on Saterdalen’s laptop computer.

Authorities say the images were of sexual activity involving children ranging from 4 to 12 months old to 15 to 18 years old.

Saterdalen pleaded guilty in September to four counts of possession child pornography and the other eight charges were dismissed. On Tuesday, he was sentenced to five years of supervised probation, 45 days in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center, a fine of $1,050, and 100 hours of community work service.
