President Trump was last in southeastern Minnesota in October of 2018. He is currently in a tight race with former vice president Joe Biden to win the state of Minnesota.
Republican Party of Minnesota Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan released the following statement on the President's visit:
"President Trump will be back in Minnesota for his eighth visit on Friday in the part of the state that Joe Biden, Tim Walz, and the rest of the DFL have denied, denigrated, and dismissed. The Republican Party sees the tremendous value of Greater Minnesota and its people and we're thrilled to be hosting the President in Rochester."
"Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have promised to raise taxes on the middle class, make energy more expensive, and make recovery from the pandemic more difficult for Minnesotans."
"We have less than a week to go before President Trump makes history and is the first Republican to earn Minnesota's 10 electoral votes since 1972."
