Police release images in Austin burglary investigation

Safe was stolen from Hiawatha Bar in July.

AUSTIN, Minn. – Police are looking to identify two possible suspects in the burglary of the Hiawatha Bar.

It happened the morning of July 22. An officer was flagged down around 4 am by someone who said the west door of the bar was open and two men had been seen in the area. A check of the bar found a safe containing checks and cash was missing.

Austin police said video from an exterior camera showed two men outside the bar. They have now released images of two individuals and a silver SUV they may have been driving.

Anyone with information about these men, their vehicle, or this burglary is asked to contact the Mower County Law Enforcement Center.
