Package thefts reported in Olmsted County

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says this is the time of year when more packages are stolen due to online holiday shopping.

Olmsted County, Minn. – The Olmsted County Sheriff’s office says it’s starting to see an increase in package thefts.
On Wednesday afternoon in the 300 block of 5th St. SE in Oronoco, a package was delivered to a house and a neighbor witnessed a four-door white Pontiac with a sun roof pull up the house. A white male got out and allegedly took the package and drove off.
In the same time frame and area, two packages were reported stolen from a front step in the 1200 block of Cedar Dr. SE.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says this is the time of year when more packages are stolen due to online holiday shopping.
