RUSHFORD, Minn. – One person is hurt after a two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened just after 9:30 am at the intersection of Highway 43 and Park Street in Rushford. 28-year-old Jon Taylor Peterson was driving north on the highway and 89-year-old Herbert Kristian Highum of Rushford was westbound on the city street. The State Patrol says Highum failed to yield in the intersection and there was a crash.
Highum was taken to the hospital in Winona with a non-life threatening injury. Peterson was not harmed. The State Patrol says Highum was not wearing a seat belt.
Rushford police and ambulance assisted at the scene.
