ROCHESTER, Minn.- It’s a special day for Olmsted County Deputies. They are having an award ceremony thanking service men and women for their dedication and service to the people in Olmsted County.
“We are grateful for your dedication your selflessness and commitment to helping others,” said Sheriff Kevin Torgerson.

They were giving out certificates of appointment to new deputies, promotions, and awards for deputies who saved a life.
Heather Johns was awarded her third lifesaving award.
For her its not about the award but about helping others.
“From our training you just kind of go about it and you just take over and just go and kind of after everything is said and done,” she said.
