ALGONA, Iowa – A not guilty plea is entered in a Kossuth County murder case.
Jeffrey Lynn Winters, 61 of Livermore, is accused of killing Randy Page of Lu Verne, who was found dead in his garage on August 27. Police say they found four 9mm bullet casings near Page’s body and several neighbors reported seeing a man who looked like Winters at Page’s home.
Law enforcement says a search of Winters’ home found an empty handgun holster and ammunition.
Winters has filed a demand for a speedy trial on 1st degree murder but court records do not list any trial date.
