MASON CITY, Iowa - The North Iowa Youth Center is busy helping local families this holiday season by giving out generous baskets of food.

And now they're also spreading the holiday spirit in another way.

Blackmore Nursery in Mason City has partnered with the youth center to give away free Christmas trees.

The trees will be given away on Wednesday December 13th.

If you're interested in getting a tree for your home you can pick up tickets at the Mason City Honda dealership.

Those with the youth center hope that by giving away the trees they can help make Christmas for those families a little brighter.

“We know a lot of people can't afford a Christmas tree or afford a big type of meal like we did for thanksgiving so this year we are doing something a little different."

Tickets will be available starting on Monday and hams for your holiday meal will also be given out.
