Mason City, Iowa – A Mason City man is facing felony charges for second-degree robbery and for violation of the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.
Joshua Sellers, 34, is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail without bond.
On Dec. 4, he is accused of violating the conditions of his release by failing to provide a new address after being evicted from a Mason City residence in October.
Sellers was convicted in New Mexico in 2011 for a similar failure to comply with registration requirements. This will be his second violation, which results in the felony charge.
Sellers was also charged with second-degree robbery in connection to an incident Nov. 28 in the 500 block of E. State St.
According to the criminal complaint, Sellers “knowingly participated in the public offense of robbery.” He “furthered the commission by providing information to facilitate the incident and was present for the assault and theft.”
