Mason City man facing 2nd domestic abuse charge in 3 months

MASON CITY, Iowa – A Mason City man is facing his second domestic abuse charge in 3 months and allegedly violated a no-contact order in the process.
Christian Jensen, 30, is facing a charge of domestic abuse assault/strangulation after an incident in a vehicle that belongs to the protected party.
Authorities say Jensen was operating the vehicle near the intersection of 280th St. and Quince Ave. when he assaulted the victim, left her on the side of the roadway and then ditched the car.
Jensen allegedly put the victim in a headlock and caused the victim soreness and pain in her throat during the incident Monday at 5:40 p.m.
Jensen was charged with felony domestic assault on April 30.
