ROCHESTER, Minn. - A man is injured Wednesday night after being hit by an SUV.
Rochester Police say the 67 year-old Rochester man was traveling via motorized scooter, going South on the sidewalk by N. Broadway Avenue approaching the intersection with Civic Center Drive.
The man told authorities he stopped at the edge of the sidewalk, waited for the walk signal, and looked both ways before entering the intersection.
That's when police say a 28 year-old Rochester woman turned right onto Broadway and struck the man with the SUV.
She tells police she did not see him crossing the intersection.
The man suffered a minor knee injury. Charges may still be filed, but the incident is currently under investigation.
