ROCHESTER, Minn. - Just before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, the Rochester Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 535 Lowry Ct. NW in Cascade Township.
When Rochester Fire arrived on the scene, it noted that one room in the upper floor was engulfed in flames and that fire was coming out of the window. Crews were able to quickly put out the flames.
The home has extensive fire and smoke damage on the 2nd floor. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
"While the fire was being extinguished search crews entered the building to ensure that everyone was out and a ventilation fan was set up to assist in fire attack and venting out toxic gas and smoke; the fire was under control within 10 minutes of arrival," officials said.
