Garage fire in Mason City

At least one vehicle was inside.

MASON CITY, Iowa – Firefighters dealt with a garage fire Friday afternoon.

It happened in the 600 block of S. Polk Place in Mason City. Officials say the fire in the unattached garage produced heavy smoke and there was at least one vehicle inside, but no person was in the garage at the time of the fire.

Firefighters quickly got the scene under control.
