CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – A former youth basketball coach accused of producing child pornography is pleading guilty.

Gregory Scott Stephen, who used to coach the AAU Iowa Barnstormers, entered a guilty plea Thursday in Cedar Rapids Federal Court to five counts of sexual exploitation of a child, one count of possession of child pornography, and one count of transportation of child pornography. He was arrested in March after an FBI investigation.

Authorities say videos of five minor children were found on a hard drive that investigators seized during a search of Stephen’s home in Monticello. Stephen is accused of persuading the children to masturbate for the camera between 2010 and 2013.

Authorities say Stephen also secretly recorded adolescent basketball players undressing in hotel bathrooms.

No sentencing date has been set.
