Forest City man gets deferred judgment for marijuana

FOREST CITY, Iowa – There will be no prison time for a man law enforcement says had with 10 pounds of marijuana.

Jaime Vega Nunez, 40 of Forest City was arrested after authorities said a search of his home on May 17 turned up the pot and several kinds of drug paraphernalia. Vega Nunez pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

He’s been given a deferred judgment and three years of probation. If Vega Nunez fulfills all the terms of his probation, this conviction will be removed from his record.
