Forest City baseball is ready for redemption

Indians advanced to their second-straight substate final beating Lake Mills 9-8 Saturday night.

The Forest City baseball team has been to five substate finals while Jeff Jerome has been head coach, but none was as heartwrenching as the 1-0 loss to Keumper Catholic in 2017. Now this season, with much of the team returning, Forest City is determined to get to Principal Park.

While they may not get in a pitchers dual, the Indians are ready to let their defense go to work and put the ball in play, something they've been practicing at since the beginning of this season.

Earlier this season they lost to Estherville-Lincoln-Central 10-4. Their substate final game against the Midgets is set for Tuesday, July 17th at 7 pm in Alonga. Click on the video tab for the full story.
