ROCHESTER, Minn. – Flames cause an estimated $50,000 in damage to a Rochester home and garage.
Firefighters were called to the 2900 block of Rose Drive SE around 2:30 pm Tuesday about a garage on fire. They arrived on scene to find the garage consumed by flames and the exterior of a nearby house also on fire.
All residents of the home had evacuated and the fire was put out in two to three minutes. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire, which began in the garage, is under investigation.
The Rochester Police Department, Rochester Public Utilities, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
